Where Is Our Jewellery Designed, Made & Sourced?

We get asked this a lot. And honestly, it's one of our favourite questions — because the answer says everything about who we are and why we do things the way we do.
The short answer? We source from all over the world. Because we refuse to compromise on quality, and quality doesn't live in one place.
Every single piece is designed in Australia.
This is non-negotiable. The vision, the concept, the design — that all starts here. I design everything from our base in Tasmania and that is never going to change. Australian design and timeless style is at the core of everything Jacqueline Lee is.
A lot of our pieces are handmade and finished by me, right here in Tasmania.
I mean that literally. Not "inspired by" or "overseen by" — actually made by me, by hand, in Tasmania. If you have ever wondered whether there is a real human behind this brand who genuinely cares about what lands on your doorstep — there is. It's me. At my bench. Making your jewellery. Most pendants and charm pieces fall into this category.
Our sterling silver comes exclusively from Italy.
Full stop. Italian silver is the benchmark. It always has been. There is a reason Italian goldsmiths have been setting the standard for centuries — the craftsmanship, the finish, the weight of a well-made piece. Every sterling silver piece in the Jacqueline Lee collection is sourced from Italy and we have absolutely no plans to change that.
A significant portion of our collection is sourced from Amercia
American manufacturing has come a long way and for certain pieces and materials, it is simply where the best product is being made right now. We follow quality, not convenience.
We also work with makers in Indonesia.
Indonesia has an extraordinarily rich tradition of jewellery craft — particularly in metalwork and handmade finishing. Some of the most beautiful, detailed work in our collection comes from there, made by skilled artisans who take genuine pride in what they produce.
So why not just manufacture everything in one place?
Because that is not how you build a great product. That is how you build a convenient one. We would rather source the best version of each piece from wherever in the world it exists than compromise on quality for the sake of simplicity.
Every piece that goes into a Jacqueline Lee order has been chosen deliberately. Not because it was the cheapest option or the easiest to produce — but because it was the right one.
That's the standard. That's always been the standard.
